Been on and off some auction websites in Japan and have ordered a few items which I have received in very good condition, which got me to thinking: what if you could find the LED headlights for cheaper thru the auction site? Yes you can!
Does anyone know if there is a difference between the headlights there and here? i.e. if i bought a pair, would they wire up to our cars?
I cannot remember the exact part numbers, but for one of the ads (which is now expired), I compared the part numbers there with part numbers on the forum (from other led-related posts) and found that they were different!
I just did an OEM JDM headlight conversion on a 2010 rav4. The cut offs were reversible. All I had to do is remove 4 screws and flip the plate around. I am curious if the Japanese IS ones are like that as well.
Hahaha hey if I can get a deal on headlights I may just do it :P

It's possible I think. Would need to open up the lights to do it I would think.

Not possible unless you completely tear the headlight apart. Even then you still have to take the project housing apart as well. I have the OEM projectors from my 2011 IS350 if you would like me to post as pick as I retrofited mine with TSX rear loading projectors.
Yeah, that's what I meant. I've opened a set before and replaced the projector lenses, I just couldn't recall if the cutoff shield would be able to be reversed.
