The alarm on my car occasionally beeps 4X when I hit the unlock button on the keyfob. Normally its just the 2X. I don't know what the 4X is for--I hope someone hasn't hit my car or messed with it. The battery in the keyfob was replaced recently.

Any ideas??

It is on the settings, it can be changed. Techstream or dealer.

It will also beep more if one of the doors locks fails to open, this is usually caused by a failing door lock actuator. When you hit the key pad (or grab the handle), it will typically beep the standard one double beep to unlock the doors, if one failed to unlock it will try again (and beep again). I think it will try 3 times (6 beeps), if it still doesn't open it stops trying

Next time, watch your door locks when you hit the button. Failed door lock actuators seems to be a relatively common issue with these cars.
