Default Factory Alarm Troubles

When I first purchased my GS i was able to click the lock button and all the yellow signals in the front and back use to blink while the horn locks. Now when i click the lock button to lock the car i don't get any of that. The only way i know the car is locked is if I stand next to it to make sure i hear the locks click.

Any insight??

Update

So, I close my car door and hit the lock button nothing happens. I check my car door to see if its locked and its NOT!! Whoooah! freaky. So all this time my car door isn't even locking all the way - apparently the issue IS INDEED due to the lock mech dealership FTW --- I manually click the door lock, close the door and VULA!! alarm & lights again... repair fix est. is $500 FYI

Check your fuses. There might be one blown somewhere.

mine does the same thing, sometimes the lights blink, and the audible beep can be heard, sometimes just the sonds of the locks. Seems random to me, and the battery change did nothing in my case, that was the first thing I did.

same here.. I have to stand right next to car to hear doors locking.. I think this is an alarm programming issue.. anyone have insight on how to reprogram the alarm?

Mine use to turn off the courtesy lights when you clicked lock twice.. now it doesn't do that anymore, but when I unlock the car it does the beep beep.. wierd stuff any fixes?

this is exactly what mind does. I can't figure it out. I took it to my local lexus dealer and the service department told me that my door locks aren't clicking all the way thus not allowing for the beeping or lights to go off. :/ im no good with the electronic schematics of my car but it sounds like a ploy to get me to buy a new door lock mech ($500). The weird thing that the service guy did point out was when standing on the outside of the car while its locked then pressing the unlock button. The car beeps, no lights though...Im so confused lol
