Congrats on the new Lexus man and welcome! looking forward to see your new mods in the future. I'm still currently running a stock 2011 IS250 and wondering which (major) mods to go with myself. haha .. i hope you enjoy the new ride. :thumbup
Thanks man and I look forward to seeing your mods as well!
Yup!! I plasti dipped my whole grill and then peeled everything except the fins and the L background - very easy to do
thanks for the tip! i will definitely do this very soon. i just don't like the look of the chrome trim of the grill. plus, I'm planning on getting a F-Sport grille so that will make it look twice as nice.
Just got my first car and it is a 2008 Lexus IS250. Anyone have any recommendations on beginner mods I can do? Also any good air intake mod out there that is affordable?
Does anybody know the official paint color name of this 2008 Lexus IS 250. I am trying to get bumper plugs and touch up paint for my new car. If anybody knows that would be a great help. Thanks.

The best way to do it would be to look for the mfg ID plate. It will be a three character reference (a numeric followed by a letter followed by another numeric) Example 1G1. The plate is located by opening the drivers door and looking at the right side, bottom on the side of the car covered by the door. The paint code is located on the next to the last line (just below the bar code). A paint code may be associated with different color names, and the paint code is a Toyota code.

I hate to be a "Debbie Downer", but the first thing you should get is an extended powertrain warranty to take care of the carbon buildup and camgear wear.
Congrats on the new ride! Looks great! Change your interior lights to LED's and if you don't already get a HID Conversion Kit for your Headlights and Fog Lights.

I bought this off of a private seller and it has 100k miles on it. Can you explain more on what the carbon buildup and camgear wear is? After driving it for about 2 weeks I haven't had any problems. Thanks for advice though.
