But that is not budget friendly but yes Penske is known for their coils. That would be a great alternative.

Test drive and Trade it in for IS350 or IS-F that's an easy 100-200 hp gain.

We used to have IS250 and IS34050. I did nothing to it beside rims, but did everything to my IS350. After a year we trade IS250 for ES350.

An IS250 equipped with the F-Sport suspension accessories package (shocks/springs/sway bars/chassis brace) will handle nearly identical to the 2011 IS-F (which itself was an improvement over the 2008 IS-F via a revised suspension and Torsen LSD). Below, you can see an Edmunds video review of a 2008 IS250 equipped with the F-Sport Accessories package and its slalom and skidpad results are near identical to the 2011 IS-F which was also tested by Edmunds:

2008 Lexus IS 250 F-Sport | Track Tested | Edmunds.com - YouTube

2011 IS-F Review and Stats- http://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/t...exus-is-f.html

IS250 w/ F-Sport Accessories Package-
Skidpad = 0.89
Slalom = 71.0 mph

2011 IS-F w/ Revised Suspension and LSD-
Skidpad = 0.90
Slalom = 69.7 mph
how can an is250 with some upgraded suspension parts even have comparable handling to an isf when it has an open differential?

I wasnt ****ting on it I was just saying for what he is looking for he may benefit more from coilovers lol.

Maybe read my comment better next time bud. I agreed with what Redspencer said.

Weight distribution can be a contributing factor (54:46 for the IS-F vs 52:48 for the IS250) as well as a 300 pound difference between the two models. Both models also share the same 225 front and 255 rear tire widths (which is too narrow for the IS-F, even with a Torsen diff).

The figures I provided from Edmunds was an attempt to use the data from the same source but the results can vary due to weather conditions, temperatures, time of the year, etc. I have seen the 11+ IS-F pull better numbers from other publications but then it becomes an apples-to-oranges comparison, IMO.

There are other subjective factors not included in the handling comparison which is steering feel and feedback (which the IS-F has and the IS250 lacks). A proper remedy to alleviate this issue is upgrading the Steering ECU to the one from the IS-F (preferably from the 11-12 or 13-14 IS-F Steering ECU).
