Default Voice Comand Button Not Working

2010 Lexus IS250 Non Nav

The voice command button stopped working on the steering wheel. I get no beep after pushing it. I also can't manually setup BT Setup, system setup, etc.... using the radio buttons Menu/Enter. I can cycle the menus using the up and down arrows. Hitting enter does nothing. Anyone have this issue before? Is there a reset procedure for the phone setup initialization? Any help suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
Mike

Does your audio work fine? You can try remove the negative terminal of the battery and connect it back after 10 minutes.

Radio works fine, steering volume works too. Mode button all seem to work normal. I can even pair my iPhone and listen to pandora. I've disconnected the - terminal. Still not working.

Problem solved. I had replaced my map lights console prior to this incident. I left the voice command MIC disconnected apparently. Now all is working as it should.

Hey Mike, I recently bought the exact same Lexus as the one you described and am having the exact same problem. You said you fixed it but didn’t go into detail on how. So how exactly did you reconnect the voice command speaker. I’ve tried disconnecting the battery and all. Please help.

I have to go back, and edit my post it was actually the MIC on the map console was disconnected. It worked after I plugged it back in. The reason was I swapped internal components to a new one i purchased. If your map console has never been removed. I doubt it should be bad.

Did you already try to reinitialize the Bluetooth settings?

Here's a recent thread the OP wasn't able to fix his issue.

I bought it used so I’m not sure if it’s been removed. I’ll try to remove the roof console myself. Any advice on how to do so safely without damaging the interior being that you’ve already done this? Or advice on where I should see the detached voice command cord?

Its fairly straightforward open the glasses door. You will see cutouts pop the doors open with a mini flat head screw driver.
It will then expose 2 Philip screws. Remove them then pull down gently down from the back of the console. It has 2 white clips that hold it in place. One thats removed there is a connector thats inside the head liner. Unclip the connector. The red circle in the picture is the MIC.
