Thinking about plasti dipping my front lexus emblem either dark gray or black this weekend on my 07 is350 smokey granite mica. Anyone done it before, does it look good and does the plasti dip peal easily. Any pics?
You ever get pulled over for tinted headlights? I remember my buddy use to get pulled over in his mustang all day long for having tinted headlights out here.
Nice, so u plasti diped the chrome around the grill too?did u do the actual grill too or is that just original black?
Yeah, I just taped off around thr grille and plasti diped it. Along with the bottom grille. You tube the **** out of plasti dipped videos. If you have any other questions feel free to hit me up. I also did my emblems and chrome trim around the window.

The tint on the headlights is new. Like 3 days new. So I'm sure time will tell. But both my High and low beams are HID. (Aftermarket)
Plasti Dip the whole grill after taping off headlights and surround - lift up the hood its easiest that way
Peel what you want after it separates very easily - I've since peeled the L emblem and the chrome surround to leave only the insert black - the insert is not black when stock - more of a metallic grey colour i'd say
Do u have to put something behind the grill doesn't the spray get in between the grill and inside the engine bay area into the air intake thing?
Yes, I used flyers/ newspaper and covered up my engine cover - I don't have the 3 black covers installed under my hood they do nothing but trap heat IMO
If you've never plasti dipped before make sure you keep it room temperature - anywhere between 60-70F or else it will come out spotty and blotchy - and always spray onto something else (cardboard or more newspaper) right before applying next coat just to get it flowing - in other words don't pick up the can and make your first spray at your grill
