Default Back in Black

Well, 4 years ago I sold my IS350 and swore I'd find myself back in another 2IS.

I recently bought a IS300 that I was having a blast with, but work said it's time for me to get a work vehicle. Due to HOA, I couldn't keep add another to the stable without getting rid of it. Instead of a new work car, I offered up the likes of a 2IS, and after making my case, I was given a green light. Unfortunately my IS300 was not new enough for their liking, so I sold her to a big enthusiast. 2 days ago I went and found the one so here she is.

Pumped and excited to have her as she's a manual, which I haven't had since I sold my NSX. Missing the power, but eh, it's been fun so far. Surprisingly, the 1st gen IS300 had a much better driving experience (but that's just my opinion)

The IS300 I had to sell in the compromise

My IS350 from 4 years ago that I should've kept

Good to be playing in the 2IS forum again

and it's only fitting

But of course. I just saw your car very similar, but you have a lot more goodies.

For me it'll start out rather slow.

Redouts
F sport grill
Updated LED headlights
Id love an aero kit (has the gfx front lip) but finding sides and rear is ridiculous
Wheels (probably isfs or lc818s)

Outside that nothing crazy

I remember your white 2IS having those "Track" wheels! I've now gone the same route on my '06 IS350. Love them, and all for <$300!

I'm going to reach out to sewell. It looks as if they are touching 2K still. I don't know if I want to justify that price, some of the guys here have given great reviews of these...which the price point makes me happy

Yeah I thought Sewell parts online closed.. and 2k is steep for headlights haha I've read that upgrading to these headlights you lose the AFS feature which my car has.. not that its a big deal but it is nice.. The LED's look sharp though thats for sure

It depends, I've always had a thing for ISF blade wheels, and LC818s in smoked chrome (damn near impossible to get). So if the right deal comes along, you never know.

Agreed. I don't really care for the AFS honestly, so no harm there. I've talked to Kerry at Sewell a few times recently. It's just a tough justification for me to go OEM at that price point, kinda how I feel about the Authentic vs Rep arguments out there.

Tough for anyone to justify $2000 for a set of headlights haha You can buy a lot with $2000

Definitely. Finally found it. This is the front bumper I'm trying to have made, ISF/Wald BB molded. Since ours are obviously smaller than ISFs, I'm hoping a manufacturer, can base something off this. I think it's better than anything out for this car.

FACT! I had one like that and miss it every time I see one go by! Welcome back to the second gen.

Are you going to keep the OEM five-spoke wheels?

My hoa only gives 2 spaces. I wouldve had 3 vehicles with the purchase of the 250, so i had to sell my 300.
