I have an 06 is350 that has a warranty and covers the navigation unit. there is a short somewhere in the navigation unit that is causing the sound system to constantly play no music or any audio (oem amp was replaced last week and wiring to the amp has been checked). My question is this... is it possible to have lexus order a navigation unit that has the newer Bluetooth audio streaming music feature? I know they have this in the newer lexus 12+? if anybody has any insight or suggestions please let me know.

for reference the navigation unit part number on 2013 is350 is 8611053190, and the part number for 2006 is350 is 8611153060

 

Nope, when they order anything under warranty they will go with your VIN. So same unit will be given. In other hand, the new unit is not plug and play (if your dealer willing to do you big favor or some magic back there) so wiring work will be required to make it works
