Is this a fair estimate for waterpump and drive belt?

Is this a fair estimate for waterpump and drive belt?
Just making sure this is a fare estimate from an independent shop I use for a water pump and drive belt. The car has 77k and Ive been getting this growling noise from around the drive belt section. While he's in there the mechanic pointed out a pulley and another thing that constantly drives on a bearing to replace. Also the thermostat and some additional items to replace while everything is apart. If he can just replace the one wheel with he bearing he said it may be $150 cheaper because he wont have to drain the AC, move it, and recharge it. Im not all to technical when it comes to cars but I can understand things if explained. Just making sure this is all reasonable and not overkill being the estimated price. Let me know what you all think, thanks

Save yourself a ton of money by replacing the water pump yourself! First time I ever attempted something like this but it only took a few hours and I was able to do it myself.

you can purchase an Aisin water pump (OEM manufacturer) for less than half what he is charging you. Funny enough when you receive it you'll see where Aisin themselves grind off the "Toyota" name. You can also purchase a "Bando" bent again "OEM manufacturer" for half the cost.
not sure who makes the tensioner for Totoyota/Lexus but I would not be surprised if its NTN.

I honestly dont have the time or tools for the project. I was just making sure I wasnt getting ripped off thats all. But after doing a little research it seems to be right. For the 6 years ive owned the car is has been pretty good to me. I dont have money to burn but if its the required maintenance that needs to be done then it is what it is.

That is a fair estimate. The question is do you trust the mechanic's diagnosis? I replaced rhe water pump on my IS350 (around 110k miles) when it started to get noisy. No more noise after that!
But not all cars are the same of course. I would proceed with the works if i trust the shop and gonna keep the car for a long time. Good luck.

Thanks but its already in the shop. He pointed everything out and explained it to me. Those pullys are constantly spinning. I understand this is a slightly more thorough job but it all makes sense while everything is apart. Mods and oil changes aside ive only spent a little over $1000 in maintenance for the 6 years ive owned it.

WHOA $1000 dollars
Most mechanics do a GENERAL pricing on water pumps for parts and labor. Most engines you have to take half the engine apart to change the water pump. With the Lexus GR engines, its forward facing, and and easily accessible that it really can be done in at most 2-3 hours properly. Maybe 4 with inspection and testing but they can easily chop some time off that bill though.
Not saying you got ripped off BUT you paid industry standard for water pump service. On our cars, it shouldn't cost that much even with parts. One thing I've learned with mechanic shops is that you save SOO much more money with saying you want something specific done (along with your own parts) instead of getting their suggestion

Just got the car back, the job was $1000. He didnt replace the tensioner because that involved draining and removing the AC. So he just removed the pulley off it and gave me back the part in case something went wrong with the spring load in the future. The rest of the work on the written estimate was done.

I assume that after the work was performed the odd noises went away?
