Best yet cost effective option to have iPod connection with factory stereo
I bought my wife an 08 is250. It only had 38k and has the Navi system but looking for her to be able to listen to her iPod and have some control with possibly the steering wheel. What are some good options for being able to connect her iPod?
I did a search and didn't see much current on here and not sure what may have come up as a better option since this topic was last discussed. Thanks.

This company has been the preferred choice in terms of integrating your apple product to your car entertainment system.
A lot of the previous models have been discontinued so you would have to do your own research to see which product is the most appropriate for you. There are also a couple in the FS section, under audio.
Good Luck

I have iSimple Kit. Low cost more connectivity and lot of function as well.
Steering wheel control work perfectly, USB play back, bluetooth streaming, iPhone, iPod , android work great, bluetooth phone as well (if you want to use it) ...... some other connection as well.
all for around $120

Before I upgraded to the iVIC-5i from VaisTech I used to have the item in the following link. It would allow me to hook up an iPod and have control over tracks in the steering wheel as well as view the contents of playlists. They sell for around $100 and get the job done. Hope this helps.
