Need Advice on IPHONE/IPOD Integration for NAV
Hey guys so I have been doing mountains of research on what to do for my 08 Is250.
I just want to add ipod interface with my Nav so I can see the song, change tracks, and change playlists (because I know it won't be able to through artist or albums unless someone knows differently).
So far I have seen the VAIS MML which seems to be the best option and one from a Canadian car company: GTA Car Kits.
The second one is significantly cheaper but my main questions are:
1) does anyone have suggestions on what to buy or if either are good options?
- all the other threads are a little older on the matter
2) I have heard recently that no matter what system I go with, the Nav makes integration a real pain and it can not work at times and sometimes for an extended period of time. Has anyone else experienced this?
- i do want to clarify I am looking just for hard wiring an ipod/iphone. not really in need of any extra blue tooth functions other than factory.
Thanks in advance, I am open to any opinions and I am hoping to get this done soon as my wife drives the car with our infant so she does not want to fiddle with the ipod to adjust things.

I have iSimple kit, work great for low price. It has USB play back, bluetooth, iPhone, iP0d and almost all device .
You could control your devices via steering wheel as well. Of course your phone call still using your factory one unless you want to use to new one. For me, I set my phone call using factory Bluetooth and music streaming via iSimple
