Default Problems with 2007 Lexus is350

Couple of months ago, I bought spc adjustable ballpoints and front upper tables installed them and unfortunately damaged the abs sensor wire. Soldered it back together and was working great no problems until 3 days ago.

VSC, abs and traction lights went on. Ordered a new abs sensor wire which should arrive soon, I am still driving the car I don`t mind driving without abs, traction and vsc for a couple of days.

Now last night, power steering and brake light came on. Also speedometer is not working.

I am thinking it`s the abs/speed sensors that is bad, could it be something else ?

I checked the brake fluid and it's in the middle of low and high, but I will top it off.

Anything else I should consider checking ? I will get a OBD2 scanner to see what codes pop up.

Anyone had similar issues with their abs/speed sensor ?

Just wait and have that new wire installed. Disconnect the battery for 20 minutes, then reconnect. See if your error codes/lights come back. Let us know!

Yes water might be grounding out the abs computer because of the exposed wires, replace the wire then disconnect the battery for 10 min. That should get things back to normal.

Got an obd2 that reads abs errors. Steering ecu is not fried, only speed sensor errors.

Although what I find weird is that all 4 speed sensors gave an error code. How likely is it for all 4 sensors to go bad at the same time ? Anyways erased the codes and only the one with the defective wire gave an error and p/s was back no more brake light.

But errors came back on this morning. Hope that replacing the wire will fix the error and it will never come back. Hope I didn't damaged the other speed sensors.

It should fix the problem. It's grounding out the computer so it uses the same power supply for all of them so when it shrts out it thinks it's all of them.
