Default 2011 IS350 Car Won't Turn Over

Hi,

Drove around the car all day with no issues. Just went out to start it and it will not turn over. Car definitely has power, and acts like it's going to start but just doesn't fire up.

I checked all the fuses and tried to jump it too.

No idea here. Seems as if the car isn't getting spark or fuel .

Way to ruin my Halloween

Try starting the car with the gas pedal fully depressed. It won't work if the car isn't getting spark or fuel, but it should help if the engine is flooded.

He said that he tried jumping the car without success. Also, I assumed that he meant that the engine wouldn't catch, not that it wouldn't turn over, since he said that it acted like it wasn't getting spark or fuel.

Car fired up this morning without hesitation. Didn't change anything. Looks like I'll have to keep an eye on it.

@Bichon, you're right sorry for the confusing wording. The engine just wouldn't catch.

Oh boy, sounds like an electrical gremlin...those are the worst! Start by checking the batteries ground wire making sure it is secured to the chassis well.

Try Seaform fuel injectors cleaner in gas tank.

If it were a bad ground wire, the car wouldn't crank. The OP's car cranked fine, it just wouldn't start.

I had Lexus do it, took them 2 days to figure out what was causing it.

About 580 total. 200 for the part, rest was labor/tax.

I'd have to look at my work order to see how much of that was diagnostic fee and labor checking other components. I don't think it took them too long to actually install the part once they figured it out.

Diagnostic is about $65 and labor about $200 an hour.
