Default New wheel setup

Hello everyone updating this thread...

I went with a different route and picked up AG M310 19x9.5 +35 front. I'm going to be adding a +5mm spacer in the front.

Will my oem stud length be okay since i'm adding a spacer?(If anyone can help me with how they calculate this would be great)

As far as lug nuts go i'm looking into the Gorilla Lug nuts or Mcgards.. How do we know what type of lug nut seating the wheel is?

Seems like everyone buys wheels and lug nuts with ease.. and I feel like it's so hard to decide cuz I have no idea where to start and look for information..

Any comments will help.. thanks guys...

I have Muteki sr48s on mine at the moment. With 35 offset front and 40 offset rear. The fronts sit perfect with the 48s but the back however stick out a bit much, had the sr35s aswell and the backs sat perfect with the fronts tucked in the wheel a bit..I guess it's a personal preference bud..will take some pics and post so you see what I mean. Opened or closed I believe is again just a personal thing..The 35s were closed and the 48s are open.

How long are the stock wheel studs?

I want to know if it's necessary for me to purchase longer wheel studs...

i haven't heard of a wheel that will make u need longer studs, the use of spacers are usually why you would need them.

^this. If you aren't running spacers you don't need them....and if you are running a wheel with the good offset you won't need to run a spacer.

As far as lug nuts.....there is no right or wrong it is all personal preference, As long as they are 12x1.5 you are good.

Aftermarket wheels should not require longer studs. The reason for this is all wheels that are produced must meet standards in terms of lug seat thickness to ensure proper engagement for OEM studs, and thus you should not have any threading issues with your lug nuts

As mentioned in previous posts, longer studs are typically used to clear spacers.

I know I just repeated what other people said but I hope this helps!

Some wheels look good with the open style, some look good closed.

extended lugs are usually used for spacers, and it doesn't matter if it's closed or open , its all base on your liking. The lug nuts I personally use on my Meister S1's are Project Kics R40, because of the floating washer seats that is made of anodized aluminum to provide torque retention and minimized the chances of scratching your wheels.

From Ive read and seen, anything more than a 5mm spacer and it would be in your best interest to run extended studs.

Thanks for the fyi...

I'm just curious to know the scientific explanation on running a 19x8.5 +35 +5mm spacer(needs extended studs), vs using a 19x9.5 +35 no extended studs... Is there a difference?

Also, anyone recommend a good color combination on AG M310 Dolphin Gray rims? I'm looking into black but open to other colors since they'll be anodized.

Studs don't make difference.....people just use extended studs so the lug nuts fit with spacers but 9/10 times a 5mm spacer will not need extended studs (depends on the wheel).

Now as far as with a spacer and without a spacer yes, that makes a difference. A 19x8.5 +35 wheel with a 5mm spacer lowers the offset so it is now technically a 19x8.5 +30
