Default Can Someone Tell Me Which Sensor Is Missing On My Engine???

I just bought a Lexus IS250. It is a 2008 and it's not running. I noticed that it's missing a sensor when I took off the engine cover. Can someone please tell me what sensor this is, and what is does? Could this be the reason that the car will not start? Trying to save money and take care of this myself. Car came with no manual, and I have searched all over the internet. I really hope someone here can help me with this. Thanks a million to whomever knows the answer. Please see the photo. You can see in the middle towards the bottom the sensor missing.

Found quite a few images online of the item you're missing. Not sure what it is called, but I'd start by sourcing that item to help start the car.

So you purchased the in its current non-running condition? How much?

It was $ 3,000.00 with a salvaged title at auction. Has 75,000 miles. The car is turning over and the pump has pressure. For some reason though, the gas is not getting to the engine. It was also missing both fuse boxes in the engine. So I have already replaced those. Now just trying to see if this sensor could be the problem. If it is a vacuum switching valve, then I do not see how that could be the issue for the car not starting. Although I think that does have something to do with fuel pressure, so maybe I'm wrong. Love the car, and now I just want to drive it already.
