Default dashboard replacement

Has anyone gotten their 2IS dash and door panels replaced yet? My dealer told me it will be August before they get to the IS's..

I'm in Fl too and that's what the dealership told me... that they would be here in August I'm just so skeptical because first they said May... then July... and now August

A local SC dealer told another SC CL member that it'll be late August for us.

Okay so at least we're all getting the same info now. I hope that's true... I did get some hope when the dealer took my info and scheduled an appointment or put me on some sort of list to call me when the parts come in so that's promising hopefully

Well when you take your car in they're supposed to give you a loaner I believe all Lexus Dealerships do that... I took my car in for a few recalls before and got a loaner automatically free of charge

I am assuming this is only if you bought the car Brand New or please tell me I'm wrong. My dash is cracked but just purchased the car used.

Nope! I bought mine used and from some buy here pay here dealership that ripped me off but not from lexus and they give me the same treatment as if I did buy my car brand new there... different dealerships have different things but for the most part I've heard all Lexus dealerships are similar.

I get all the perks as a lexus owner the free car washes... state of the art service in the waiting room... etc... so it should be the same for you... and the recall is on all cars that in that year frame no matter where you got the car

Sounds great. I just purchased the car and noticed a big crack in the center of the dash a few days later. Would I just call a local Lexus dealer near me?

Yup ... just call them and say you want to set up an appointment to bring your car in for the recall on the dashboards ...then they'll ask your car's year and stuff to make sure you're qualified and that's it
