Default Just got a free nice upgrade!

Hi guys, as many members here on the forum has problem with pairing their homelink remote to your car and never get success same as my 07 IS too, i could never got the chamberlain garage door opener pair to my car and I ended up use the homelink repeater to pair to my car and use the homelink repeater to open the garage door long story short a friend's of mine is about to trade his 14" rx350 in for an NX, and I want test and see if my chamberlain remote can be pair into the RX rear view mirror or not? Vola it pair to the RX350 rear view mirror, and he is nice enough to offer me a swap mirrors for free it is direct swap to my 07" IS the size the mount and the harness are the same on two cars I got them swap over, and the nice thing of the 14" RX mirror is illuminate on the three garage doors buttons and the power button and the N "map" button it look nice as night time here some pics compare the old and the new one.
The old mirror

The new one with illuminate buttons

Right on! Nice free upgrade. The backlit buttons makes it look better and the in-mirror compass is an added bonus.

I think from 2011 to 2015 RX has the same size mirrors, but 2014-2015 are newer model, it has ability to program the rolling code gagare door openers, like 07" is mirror could not pair the homelink, but my 14" GX could, some other 13" Lexus models and older could not pair the homelink due to rolling code thing? But any way I am happy now I don't have to use the homelink repeater for my car anymore.

Your '07 mirror, like any homelink compatible product, does indeed support rolling codes. Your confusion is that you have an newer opener with homelink Security+, also referred to as homelink 2.0. Homelink Security+ is Johnson Control's second generation version of their rolling code technology that increases range and reduces interference. It requires the use of a repeater, mounted on the wall in the garage, to be backward compatible with the first generation product.

I hope the new garage door opener I get for my new house can finally pair to my 2IS! Never could get it to sync to my 2006 Craftsmen opener.
