Looking into buying 06 IS350.. need help
Hello all,
Happy 4th weekend! To get straight to the point, i am looking into buying this is350 from a local dealer. Test drove it the other day and fell in love instantly. Only thing that has kept me from pulling the trigger is knowing that it has 100000 miles on it. Have yet to own a car with that many miles and i am just trying to be 100 percent sure i want to do this. I have located the lexus service records on lexus.com and i will post them here so i can see what you guys think. It has been lowered and dealer told me that the last owner upgraded the exhaust. Didn't have much time to go look under the car but everything felt great. Just looking for anything weird you guys see with the service records or if it looks worth it. Dealer is asking 16.
Thank you!

Want to say sport. Has all of it on the interior (nav, leather, seat memory, heated, etc...) and the suspension feels much better than the previous 350 i drove.

What color is the interior trim? If it's silver (not woodgrain) then it's likely the Sport package. The Sport package is also lower than the non sport suspension (Like 1/2" I think). In 2006 there was no F Sport available. Sport package was the closest thing to it.
I paid $16k about a year ago, private party (A member on here) for our IS350 Sport Package with full up to date service records and 88k on the odometer. 10k miles later and still really happy. Getting new dash and door panels soon and it will make it nearly perfect (couple of shopping cart dings int he doors, but for a 2k6 is really fantastic!)
Check through this sticky at the top of the forum for some good information:

Personally, I would say go for it. I'm happy with my purchase and I got an 06 as well. I have no regrets. I too, fell in love when I test drove. However, at the time, I didn't research or look up too much into this specific model, year or package and I just went with it. Like I stated earlier, I have no regrets. Mine is just a base or premium so to say. But without the other perks or other packages, I'm still happy and satisfied. Other options can be upgraded or made better if need be but overall, I love this thing.

Got mine last year with aprox 109k miles base model with Nav, heated and vented seats..just the things I was looking for. Got it from a Lexus dealer so records and any recent recalls had been updated. Since then, the only major trouble I've had was a frozen Nav screen, which can be dealt with by replacing the digitizer or Nav screen (cost anywhere from $50-$200). Other than that, I'm glad that this was the car that replaced my Audi A4..Lexus is known for reliability, so 100k miles isn't as bad as 100k miles on a Merc, Bimmer, or Audi or any other import/domestic in its class for that matter..

There's definitely some room for negotiations on that price, but not much. Everyone needs to remember that different regions of the country can demand a premium for the same car, while somewhere else its so common that the prices are driven down. Supply and demand caused me to look outside the state of SC for my IS350. Ended up flying into NJ to purchase mine! LOL

It is worth it, but it would be great to get it for a K or 2k cheaper. I bought my 07 350 with 108,000mi for 13 from a guy I work with. I worked on a 06 and it had 246,000 mi! Damn cars will run for-ev-ver.
