Hello all! I have a 2008 Lexus IS 350 and the driver side headlights has a broken tab. My question is: can the tabs be fixed, or do I need to replace the whole housing. It seems like a shame to replace the whole housing since the rest of it is still in great condition. Thanks in advance.

 

You can repair the tab if you still have the part that came off with this:

Thats what I used on my headlight that was in a previous front-end accident.

 

I do not have the tab The accident happened long before I purchased the car. Any other suggestions?

 

You can always buy a small piece of ABS plastic from ebay and cut-out the tab shape using a dremel and then bond them together, a bit of work but worth the savings will only cost couple of bucks that way

 

Do you have a pic of which tab it is? I believe some of the tabs you can get replacement parts for which can be attached to the assembly.

I remember when I was shopping for mine, there were quite a few on ebay that had been repaired like this.
