Default Returning my Car after lease, need advise

Hey guys,
I know i'm posting in IS forum since i got IS250, but my wife drives CT and lease will be over in 2 month.
She did scratch a little right back panel with bumper, paint a little off,
I'm debating if i should fix it or take it as it is assuming i have some allowance for "wear"
I know if we going to get another Lexus from them, they forgive anything, but i don't know for sure if we getting one.
Please let me know what you think.

I think if its more than 6" long and 2" wide theu will charge you for the fix, i would suggest to get it fixed. You may be able to buff it out with a compound so it would be under 6" long. Take it to a body shop or a car wash, and ask to buff it with a compound. If that does not make it better, you will have to donit the right way.

Looks like it's on the bumper also which won't "buff out." I'd suggest taking it to a detail shop and ask them what they could do. It'll be cheaper than a body shop respray.

looks like most of it will buff or polish off. perhaps some touch up paint would help too.

Check out Dr. colorchip. I used it on all my vehicles and it is pretty amazing stuff.

Looks like 25% of the marks can be buffed off. I wouldn't use touchup paint unless you know what you are doing. It might make it look even more noticeable if you add touch up paint. Dr.colorchip is a good alternative to touchup paint.

Yeah, most will buff out; but some of those marks scuffed straight though to the primer or the plastic itself. You'll want to hit that with some touch-up paint.

Took to shop, since it's on 2 panels,
for both panels repaint $600-650

Let's see, if i can drive off road to cover spots

It always "hurts" when we get damage to our car. If you own the car, you have the option to fix or not to fix. With a lease, you don't have that luxury. The reality is, the dealer will most likely charge you their higher Lexus rates to repair this damage. Think about it, they need to resell this car and to get the top dollar, it needs to be as close to perfect while spending as little of their money as possible. That means they get you to pay for the repair. They've got the advantage with the lease contract's vague language. It will be cheaper if you go to an independent shop. Also, if your insurance deductible is $300 or less, it may be smart to file a claim. Once you buff it out, it may be too late to file a claim. I know, a lot of folks are afraid their rates will go up if they file a claim. Only you can decide. Good luck
