Is hidden menu nav

Default Is hidden menu nav

So I found the hidden menus in my nav on my is250 but now I want to know what they do if anyone gots a pdf or knows an exact thread to what they do that would be great!

we use these menus at our toyota dealership for certain diagnostics to figure out if the nav unit is failing or if certain input items are failing. thats all I've ever used it for anyways

I'd be curious what the data logging function actually logs and for what period of time it creates the logs for. Does it save the logs? Need more input!

Care to detail how you reached this hidden NAV functionality?

I've honestly just used to so far to check signals such as blotch and xm input. i can poke around in the diagnosis area of our TIS program when i get the chance and see if i can't find any more in depth detail on this stuff

If anyone is still using 06' nav CD, you can get to hidden menu which includes navigation override.

menu -> volume -> (touch/click) top left corner -> bottom left corner -> top left corner -> bottom left corner.

^Well, used to have the '06 disk till I had to get a new, used upper NAV unit to replace my faulty '06 unit. Guess I now have a '08 disk since it is from a '08 model IS350.

this does not work on any models prior to 2009

2006, 2007, 2008 do not have the nav override.

There is one in Navigation --> vehicle sensors

that show pulses #
mph
kph

what are the pluses for?

Hey thanks that would be great if you could find me some more details about what each one does.
I found a few of them, that are not obvious, interesting. such as the speed and pulses

while cars on ACC or on or moving.

-press and hold info
-flick parking lights on and off while still holding info for about 4-5 clicks
-you get to one of these...
-to go even further click menu at the top right corner
-click than top left and bottom right
-you go to another menu.
-when done hold display on nav unit until it resets.

Ummmm. .....It's the other way around. 06-09's with Gen 5 Nav's had the nav override by the method mentioned by kentaro in post #6 . Mine is a 2007 and has it available.You have to hit the override every time you restart the car though.

Seriously? Ive read otherwise.

And on top of that I go to menu, volume , top left bottom left, top left bottom left, and it does not work on my unit. My unit is not the stock 2006 unit I had to replace mine with the ML unit but im sure its a 2007.

is there an alternative way of overriding the nav?
