Default Wald spoiler paint question

Hello fellow Wald spoiler owners. I just wanted to check to see approximately how much everyone paid to get their spoilers painted. A good friend of mine said it would be 5-6 hundred bucks!!! Thanks in advance!!

A wald trunk spoiler? Depends on the body shop. I have seen prices vary from $160-$300 in CA just for paint.

Never heard of anything costing close to $500. Are they doing any kind of body work to the spoiler?

Yes a wald trunk spoiler. No type of body work I just needed it painted.

Keep shopping around. For $600 you could possibly get it molded also.

Think about shop rates hourly. Most are about $80/hr. So figure 3 hours for paint and prep.

Keep in mind there will almost always be some sort of "body work" that has to be done with the spoilers (especially the reps) as the PU ones can develop some bubbling due to minute pin holes...

Kind of off topic, but does anyone actually make and sell the whole trunk piece with the Wald spoiler as one piece?

May be a dumb question but would vinyl wrapping be an option?

Ventross made a nice one but was super expensive and rare. Extreme Dimensions just started making a full trunk also.

I could only find the AF-1 trunk - about $800

That's the one. Both are the same in the links you provided.

I had my wald rep spoiler painted for 115 bucks. Just go to a paint shop, don't go to some fancy autobody aftermarket shop because they're going to pay some outside painter to do the work for you and charge you extra because they the shop will more than likely specialize in aftermarket install instead of a simple paint job. I wouldn't pay more than 150 for a lip or spoiler to be painted, and 150 is pushing it....

Guess you should always second guess "your good friend" when it comes to paint prices and options lol

$100 is a good deal. Let's see some pics when the work is done.
