Default Throttle Body Removal

Hey guys, I've been home for six weeks now recovering from surgery and I'm bored!
I got the bright idea that I want to remove, clean and polish the TB.

I searched on throttle body removal but didn't have much luck. Anyone know how to remove the TB?
Any hazards or concerns with doing it? I'll probably try tomorrow or Friday morning.

Just wondering if anyone tried it yet...

haven't tried it yet but I did remove the engine cover to look at the engine when I first got her and it looks pretty straight forward, just be careful of the electric connections cause it looks like after heat cycling under the engine covers for awhile makes the electrical wires prone to pulling out of their respective plugs which will require re pinning the plugs and knowing which wire goes to which pin in multi pin/wire plugs, maybe take detailed pix before you embark on your adventure, it will make reassembly and your life in general much easier.

Thanks. Yeah, I looked at it when I first got it but haven't since. Can't remember if there's any coolant lines running through it.
Oh well, got three more weeks of no driving no working and a Dremel. Should make a good project.

There is a DIY posted on here for sparkplug change for the IS250.

When I changed my plugs removing the TB was part of the steps.

Best of luck!

Very nice! NOS plate! How much will you be spraying?

As for TB removal, I chickened out. It's very easy except I saw a vacuum connected on the lower left from front view and I was afraid the hose would fall down and be gone.

Anyone know what that is...? I'd try and disconnect from the other end if I knew what it was.

Great. I figured/worried there was a coolant line going to it. Oh well, just gotta trace it back to its origin.
