Default Stock Cat-back - 2 pieces?

I am moving closer to purchasing Tanabe Medlaion catbacks for 2010 IS250.
From the picture on Amazon.com, the exhaust is 2 pieces:

Amazon.com: Tanabe T70113A Medalion Touring Cat-Back Dual Muffler Rear Section Exhaust System for Lexus IS250 2WD/AWD/350 2006-2009: Automotive Amazon.com: Tanabe T70113A Medalion Touring Cat-Back Dual Muffler Rear Section Exhaust System for Lexus IS250 2WD/AWD/350 2006-2009: Automotive

Can anyone tell me if stock exhaust is also 2 pieces? I am simply worried about fitting the stock cat into my trunk after installing a new exhaust.

Thanks!

Nope. The stock is one full piece exhaust and its substantially much heavier than aftermarket exhaust. Trust me I change it out for my M2 and that thing is surprisingly heavy.

If your referring to your IS trunk. I wouldn't think it'll fit. The IS trunk seems too small for a full axle. But then again try it. Use the open compartment hatch from the trunk to rear seat for the pipe to be in and two y pipes and mufflers at the trunk base? Idk lol

But if your talking about the aftermarket two piece exhaust axle back. It'll fit just fine in the back trunk.

You'd be better off putting the car up on jack stands and doing it yourself on your garage/driveway.

Hahaha

This is the reason I didn't have a shop install my Invidia midpipe. Didn't know how I would get the stock one home. In hindsight, after stripping the O2 sensor, it would have been easier to get a friend to drive it home.

That's what I was suspecting. Thanks for the info!
