Default Battery recommendations and install

Whats up guys,

Im looking at upgrading my stock battery.
I am considering the Stinger Dry Cell battery for my is250.
Anyone have any experience with this / any better alternatives? Ive seen some mixed reviews on the Optima Red Top battery so im cautious there

Also, is it just a plug-and-play sort of thing? Or are extra parts required (e.x. battery bar, etc.)

Just adding to my already long list of mods planned for this spring

I've always switched to Die Hard on every vehicle I've had since 1998 when it was time for a replacement. Never had any issues. I've seen many members use YellowTop to accommodate after market electronics.

I had the Stinger deep cycle SPP1500D battery. I also added a Figs battery tie down. It was a good battery with 825 CCA and up to 400 discharge cycles and matched my engine compartment. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ay-thread.htmlhttp://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/fbh/4818889373.html

Optima batteries have been terrible for quite some years after they cheapened their manufacturing by moving overseas. They used to be quite well known in the audio scene but have since been shunned. Beware and stay away from them.

Sears diehard platinums used to be the best option but they've since downsized their assortment. They're made in the same plant as odyssey.

Shuriken is good as its made by Metra. XS Power are great also.

I replaced the battery in our 2007 IS with an Interstate. This is the same battery as the Lexus branded one that the dealer sells, for less money, according to my mechanic buddy at Lexus.

Why "upgrade" the battery though? I paid $60 for my 5yr battery with factory CCA and such specs. No problems to speak of here.

Black battery with a nice, red tie-down (in my opinion) would be better.

I have looked at the Motomaster Eliminator (sounds cool sooo....), will I require any extra for battery placement/ holding?
