Default How good does the Dual Temp work?

I have a 2008 IS250 and tried dual temp for the first time today. Honestly not impressed. I was driver and wife was passenger. I had it at 84 and wife at 75 or so. Felt like 75 was taking over as my side was not heating up. I haven't tried something closer such as 75 vs 72. It I would imagine that doesn't make much of a difference.

Similar experiences?

Yeah, unfortunately like with all multi-temp control systems, you and your passenger's seats aren't isolated from one another (you share the same air!)... Ive always thought of these things to be gimics... It might work temporarily, but eventually all the air's gonna mix.
In a perfect world, if the dual temp seems more like a single temp, it's possible a driver's side vent is not functioning as well as one on the passenger side.
Just my thoughts!

Mine always has worked well. In fact, one time my wife started using it without me knowing. She set the temp on low and I was like 74 or something. The windshield on her side started fogging up, where mine didn't.

Yeah, mine definitely not working as great as I thought it would

Not sure how the system is set up to achieve the dual temp. I guess higher end models probably have dedicated blowers

Mine works amazingly well and the difference is noticeable.

its not isolated through the vents aka your getting the same air

lets say you have yours on 65 and the other side has it on 80 its just gonna average once it comes out for a few seconds

Just feel the air coming out of the vents, if there is a temperature difference, it's working. Of course it can only do so much since it's going into the same space, but the air that comes out and hits your face should feel different.
