Default Console and trim wrapping

hey guys, I have a 2007 IS 250 AWD. I really dislike the wood colored console trim and was wondering what are the best options for wrapping or replacing?

I've seen some threads talking about the neffy wrap, 3m vinyl wrap, and the various other carbon fiber looking wraps with varying results. I'd like something that I can remove if i mess up or end up not liking it. I'm wondering how hard it is to get the cuts right or if there is any easier option.

If there is a thread comparing the various wraps, I can't find it. I'd appreciate a link if you guys know of one.

Thanks

It's all about the prep and patience. Vinyl has varying results by experience, quality of material, and patience. You can buy 3m pretty cheap online per square foot, and it's pretty cheap because it's smaller pieces. Remove the trim and keep at it! All other finishes like a real carbon fiber wrap are pretty permanent

take your time like most have said, biggest mistake is rushing the wrap. Be sure surface is clean and clear and move slow

I have been playing with vinyl wrap lately and patience is definitely key .... wrapped my roof twice already ... hopefully 3rd time will be a charm

Haha, I'm not sure I want to be doing this a second and third time.
A local shop quoted me 150$ to do the wraps for me if i disassemble the pieces and bring em in.

How much time do you think it would take to do it by myself? I'll check out some youtube videos in the mean time and see if its doable for me.

It took me around 6 hours to do every single piece including disassembly and assembly, and for all the prep.

Is vinyl relatively easy to remove if it looks terrible?

I've done my console and door switches twice now. The first time was piano black the second time was matte silver. It's not that hard as long as you like to do DIY type projects. It does take a few hours to do a good job. The hardest part is the cup holder lid since the edge of the wrap is exposed so it has to be perfect.

Good luck.
