Some stupid questions about (2011?) 2012+ Headlight conversion...
Hi Lexus Club Friends,
While I still search for my dream IS350, some stupid questions and modding dreams pop in mind. I have seen a few DIY threads for the headlights conversion on Pre 2011 cars with 2012 (or 2011 too?) lights with the LED DRLs on the bottom. Would someone indulge me for a bit?
1. I don't think I have ever seen someone trying to get these lights from the Junkyard. Most always seem to get them from Ebay or Sewell, which gets REAL expensive. Any reason why people don't do the junkyards?
2. I assume ALL versions of the 250, 350, and the Is-F lights are interchangeable and will plug and play between all 3?
3. I heard if you had the AFs feature on your car, you loose it with this conversion. Is there a workaround for this now, and is there a light that comes up cause of this? If so, how do we get rid of it?
4. I know this is an "unholy" question, but which version of the Replica/Ebay headlights are the best in your experience, if budget was a concern? And how bad was the "Best?"

AFS light will stay on or blink annoyingly and someone did purchase the ebay replica and the LED ended up looking like the new 2013 Honda accord LEDs, also junkyard its hard to come across headlights in good condition, either tabs are broken or their flat out ruined. From what I've read to rid of the AFS light is to disassemble the cluster and put black tape over the light bulb so you wont have a sore tape over the gauge, if you remove the bulb, the other lights wont work properly as the light bulb runs in series.
