I bought my 2008 IS250 back in February and one thing that I really liked when looking for a Lexus was how clean the engine bay looked with the covers that come down each side and across the front. However, the person who owned it before me, removed those pieces and only left the cover over the engine. I knew this going into the purchase but figured it would not be to tough to find the covers and put them on. However, now that I am searching for them, I cannot seem to find them anywhere. Does anybody know of any sites that sell them? I have searched the classifieds, ebay, craigslist, amazon and sewell. My only other idea was to start calling local salvage yards.

I searched sewell for an hour trying to find them. Searched in body parts, engine parts, exterior parts, interior parts, accessories, etc. And I have already signed in to sewell before in order to buy a painted rear bumper.

Apparently, I am terrible at searching for parts online. I appreciate the help but for those prices, i will either keep stalking the classifieds section or start calling salvage yards. Unless somebody reads this and has a set they want to sell.

 

Call your local salvage yards. They may have some but I can tell you right now, it is not CHEAP unless you find the right deal. While working on my spark plugs, one of my plastic covers was destroyed when my dad accidentally roll over it with his Suv. It cost me over $70 to replace it with a used salvage one.

 

Ill sell you my old set that's clean. Not sure how much shipping would be.

 

Check craigslist, that's where I got my extra set.
