Your absolutely right!!! That's fricken stupid, no wonder why I couldn't figure it out! Why would I need to push the trunk button if I have the Key Fob in my hand?? Retodds!

I don't know, but it makes no sense to me. If the doors are unlocked, the trunk should be able to be opened with that trunk button. There's even a kill switch in the glove box to prevent valets from getting in. Hit the kill switch, lock the glove box. Boom, no trunk entry. But if the switch is not on, I don't understand why the fob has to be in your possession.

How do you want it to work? If you have the key in your pocket, you want the trunk to automatically open if you are standing next to the trunk? What if you see a friend in a parking lot and you are just standing there?

I can see if you wanted the button to work if the doors were unlocked already, but you have to take some type of action to make the trunk open, with or without the key in your pocket.
