Help deciding between 2 2011 is350's 1 cpo 1 not
I was also in your shoes when I was shopping for an IS350 to replace my 250. I had the option of a CPO Fsport with 21k miles or a none CPO at a totaly diffrent dealer with 4k miles. I ended up going with the non CPO with lower mileage so I personally would go with the lower mileage car as it's still has bumper to bumper and power train warranty.
What are the in-service dates for each vehicle (I.e. factory warranty expiration)? I might be crazy but I would go for the lower mileage car (if still have decent factory warranty left). I am not sure if they will lower the price on the certified car since they want some margin between the two. Also, if you are selling the car within a few years from now, the higher mileage car with Lexus certified warranty won't be anywhere near $2,000 more.
Yes, if the non-CPO one is still under basic warranty, there is no reason to go with CPO -- and I really don't think they do any kind of inspection other than the basic stuff, but you get the 3 year warranty, but that's not important if the car is still under basic warranty.
Well thanks everyone for the input, I ended up going with the cpo for $29.5k otd plus extended the warranty out to 6 years, I only drive about 9k a year, and I managed to get the warranty extension added in to the price so the 29.5k otd includes full warranty coverage for 6 years. I am happy to be a part of the family.
Pics will come over the weekend hopefully if I get time, I work a lot during the week and usually don't end up with enough time to take pictures, plus I need to bring the car back to the dealer soon for them to go over and detail everything, I wanted to drive it soooo bad that they never got time to do a final detail.
