I had a set of regular BC BRs on my Legacy....when I maxed them out and wanted to go lower I ordered a set of Extreme Lows.

The guy you talked to had no clue what he was talking about. The cartridge on the Extreme Lows are shorter than the ones on the regular BRs. I have a pic when I took mine off.....I'll see if I can find it.

So here's an update. I just called BC Racing myself and they told me the IS250 already is considered an extreme drop kit by default and that there's only one kind of coilover for the car. Even though this is coming from BC Racing, I'm still not too convinced. So I asked about the whole strut being smaller and he said they're all the same and can drop your car by 3-4 inches. What do you guys think about this. He even said vendors who have photos of smaller strut extreme drop coilovers for the IS are just customized but they don't sell extreme drop for our car themselves.

Yeah I believe there's an extreme drop made for the Subaru since the guy told me some people don't want the extreme drop since it kills performance and would prefer the standard. However there's only one kind for the is250.

Here's what the guys at CircuitMS emailed back to me. "Yeah I asked BC and they said that the extreme drop and the standard version for the IS250/350/ISF are all the same. I guess they just made them low as they can go because so many people suggested it! Did you have anymore questions?"

I'd agree that they're all the same. I'm sitting at a tad below 24" fender-to-ground (DD status) and the adjustable collars on the sleeve are only adjusted about half-way down currently. Plenty more low can happen on the "default" 2IS kits. I've never heard of a BCR owner saying, I wish I could lower my 2IS more.
