Rattle Under Drivers Side 2009 IS250AWD
If someone could answer this question for me it would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2009 IS250AWD. When the car is running there is a rattle under the drivers side of the car behind the front wheel. It will go away if I turn the interior fan off for the heater of defroster. The rattle will come back on if I turn it back on. I don't know if this is a temperature related thing because it is just starting to get warm out. I looked under the car and noting is visually loose. Any help will be appreciated before I take it to the dealer.
Hello,
I have this issue too and it started recently. Theres like a small rattling on the left hand side of the steering wheel and it sounds like a bunch of tin foil is being rustled from the inside. I have no idea what is causing this.

Lol my 2007 is350 just got the same thing, exactly like u described, like tinfoil, it's just a weird annoying sound, it comes and goes. And I get the once in a while cracking sound coming from around the radio area. From reading alot on here, unfortunately second IS seem to have the creaking and rattling problems. Not a big deal for me
Check if it's coming from the driver's side air vent. I had a problem when my 2010 was about 1 yr old. Would do the tin-foil rattle during dry (i.e. when not raining) days when fan is on. Initially I thought some leaf had gotten stuck inside it haha (had that on my Civic). Dealer took out the plastic vent and glued foam inbetween to resolve issue.
I also have another driver side rattle right where the trunk & gas cap release clip on plastic panel is. Would rattle non stop on rough surfaces. This one I'm getting dealer to fix it for me out of warrranty this week. Too lazy to open it up to apply foam myself.
