Default IS350 stalling out when doing donuts?

I have some tires that need to be replaced soon, so I figured I'd have some fun with them before I tossed them. I've never tried donuts before, so naturally I had no idea what I was doing (don't worry, I went to a nice, big, open, empty lot), and I spun out repeatedly. Thing is whenever I spun out, the car would stall. Why is this? Is it a protective behavior of some kind? I feel like my car is telling me "NOPENOPENOPE. You have no idea what you're doing... that's quite enough"

Cause you need to turn traction control off with vsc. When traction is on it will try to control the vehicle from that kind of behavior so you don't get in any type if accidents.

I had VSC off. The tires were spinning up a storm, otherwise I wouldn't have spun out in the first place.

Did it turn off when you were moving or when you came to a stop?

Was hard for me to tell, but I think it was when I came to a stop.

And we should all probably stop eating pizza, drinking scotch, and watching TV, too. But where's the fun in that?

Are you positive you had VSC off? I can turn trac off while VSC is still active, I can make the biggest baddest burnout but once the car goes a little sideways it cuts the fun.

On my 2011 if I hit the trac button it says TRAC OFF, but I need to hold the button for about 5 seconds then a yellow skid warning light comes off saying VSC off. You are then free to kill yourself and the system won't bat an eye.

I wonder if this has to do with the brake pedal override recall

You may have had the VSC off but I believe it turns back on after a specific MPH...I think like 19mph or something like that. You have to hold the VSC button down for several seconds to completely shut it off and not come back on until you either turn it back on manually or turn off the engine and turn it back on.

Sucked in too much smoke from the tires? I've got no clue on this one. Perhaps get your alternator/battery tested.

You have to hold the traction control button for 5 seconds to completely turn it off.

Press button: Trac Off/VSC On, turns back on at 30mph or after cycling ignition.
Press and hold 3 sec.: Trac Off/VSC Off, turns back on only after pressing button again or cycling ignition.
