Hi

my car shakes little bit at idle with no check engine lights so there is no indication about any misfire


Could it possibly have misfire without putting out a code ??


Is it something regarding fuel regulator, pump ?


I was planning to change all spark plugs , the care is on 97000 mile odo now .

Most likely carbon build up. Take it into Lexus and they will run some tests and make repairs if necessary.

 

he got a 350, did you do the recent recall?

 

could be spark plugs or carbon build up.
I think they had VVT-i actuator recall. go to the website and register your car. you will see if there any pending recalls on your vehicle.

 

he cant do recall dealer dont allow him based on his old post, could be injectors

/\ The program you're referring to covers vehicles to 9 years from date of first use.

The 250 is not eligible for the VVTi campaign (cam gear replacement) IS/GS 350 only.

OP are your check engine and/or vsc lights on? Usually if it's a carbon misfire it's gonna misfire and pop a code. But worth a shot. Take it to the dealer and have them run a carbon misfire test.

 

Sure brother. I am not sure if he has 250 or 350. But SHERVIN350 said "he got a 350, did you do the recent recall?" So i assumed he has 350. How did yo determine he has 250? lol

Yes my car is 2007 IS350 and I have no lights on

Also I cannot do the recall and my car is not allowed to enter the dealership since I imported it from USA to my country (Saudi Arabia) the dealer doesn't allow it !!


I heard that there is a way to clean the injectors using teachstream program ? I have the program I just need to buy a cable from ebay and I will if that's the case.

keep in mind IS350 has 12 injectors . I also feel reduction in power littile bit

 

Start by replacing the worn spark plugs; and in doing so, disconnect the battery during the service to reset the entire vehicle. Hopefully afterward you'll be back to normal.

Yesterday we removed and cleaned the throttle it was tooooo dirty I suspect because of the intake I installled 2 years ago


We checked one of the spark plugs and as you can see it is in bad condition






So I will be changing them .
