Default 2007 IS250 Blower Motor

So I had my car at the dealer for some recall service. I asked them to look at the blower behind he glove compartment as it is making a very obnoxious humming noise. They tried lubricating it and seeing if there was any dirt stuck in there. Neither of these things helped. They suggested replacing the blower motor assembly.

Looking around for a replacement, I found one for $90 (Lexus wanted $300+ for the motor). Has anyone bought one of these and replaced their motor? I found this one on partsgeek for $90.

Also, is this very difficult to do? It looks like there are only a couple of screws to install as well as a wiring harness. Do I have to take the whole dash off to get this in?

I can hear the same noise on snowy days.I was thinking this was related to some kind of vacuum leak. How did you resolved that issue?

I haven't resolved it yet. A local garage gave me a quote for the part that was $100 less than Lexus and they indicated it's about an hour of labor. I really feel this is something that I can do if I can figure out how to access the fan easily. If I have to take the whole dash off, that's outside of my comfort zone.
