O2 Sensor Exhaust Manifold Rethread
Just wanted to get some input from fellow lexus owners. I am not a fan of any type of rethreading.
I brought my car to the dealer to get two o2 sensors replaced. After all was done, after reviewing my paperwork in the comfort of my home, I realized that the notes said that the exhaust manifold o2 sensor was stripped and had to be rethreaded. The car is under warranty for another two weeks but, I would have never approved of any rethreading. What do you members think? Leak possibilities? Problems replacing the same sensor down the road?

What probably happened was the original O2 sensor was stuck in there good, but they managed to remove it...but had slight damage to the threads. They ran a tap through the remaining threads to true them back up to ensure proper installation of the new one. That is actually exactly what I'd want them to have done instead of not running a tap and just installing the new sensor and messing up the threads permenantly.
You're fine! I hope they used anti-seize on the threads of the new sensor.
