Default HELP Identifying Exhaust sensor for 94 Celsior

Can anyone tell me what the sensor is that goes to the left of the O2 sensor in this photo (sensor has fallen out)?

There is one on the other side of the car as well that has fallen out and both need to be replaced. Not sure if it's a "EGR" sensor or another O2 sensor?!

You could likely plug the holes if it running OK. They are are not really o2 sensors. Mine has them downstream of the cats.

That's an idea. See the diagram attached below. Things are all written in Japanese but you can find 2 "センサー"( sensors ) at the lower left corner. "排気温センサー" is an exhaust gas temperature sensor. It is used only for the warning purpose when the cat is not working right sensing the temperature. Later on it was deleted due to the reason that the post-O2 sensor can detected the poor efficiency of it. As long as the cat is working right, you can plug the hole as Moarpower says.

Yamea, I did notice that once the EGTS fell out on the left side, that my fuel economy went down by about 100km per tank of gas. Would it make sense that a hole pre-cat in the exhaust system might effect fuel economy?
I can also confirm that there is no check engine light or code being thrown by the ECU even though both EGTS have fallen out.

Holes in the exhaust will affect your economy..
