Long time lurker, first time poster. I have done a lot of research on how to retrofit the 2011 LED lamps into my 2007 IS250 with halogens, and i need some help:
1) I installed a XenonDepot philips component HID kit; can this transfer over to the new headlights?
2) Can i reuse my dust covers/caps (as they are already drilled for HID portion) from my old to new?
3) I know I need a relay - do i get it from the dealer? or can i just buy it off ebay
4) do i need anything else other than the new style headlights? any harness or anything to make it all work? i didnt see anything but wanna make sure
Essentially ill swap my HID set up and all bulbs from my current headlights including caps/covers to the new style headlight.
Do I need to buy anything else? Missing anything? Seems you can get both sides for 1k on ebay, so not terrible
anything i should watch out for before embarking?
Thanks guys - i know the search function exists and ive read a lot but want to ensure im not missing anything
I have. 2007 Lexus is250 swapped out headlights as well for 2011's. I bought them fully loaded for a lil over 1k. See if you can find loaded set. Much easier .

Thinking about changing mine too due to moisture inside.
I have oem non- hid 2008.
If I buy a set of newer 2011 oem HID is that a easy swap.
Is there much splicing? or plug and play.
Thanks
