Default 2006 IS 250 'reboots'

I've been googling this and I'm having a hard time finding others with the same issue. Intermittently (maybe a few times a week) after starting my 2006 IS 250 maybe 10-20 seconds, all the warning lights come on (check VSC, etc) and the whole car 'reboots'. The Nav screen shuts off, goes back to the Lexus logo, etc. After that it's fine. It does have the original battery and it seems to do it more when it's cold, so battery is my first suspect, but I was wondering if anybody else has seen this or has suggestions.

Go to an auto parts store like Advance auto and they'll test your battery for free.

Probably a good idea. I had it tested at one point since it's the original battery and they said they didn't know what to compare it to since the specs aren't visible on the battery.

Go to a different store. Most of them here have a machine that tests for faults in the battery and they should have a book with minimum factory specs for replacement (or look it up and take it with you if they need it).

If you're still running the original 2005/2006 battery, it is time for a new one. Post back when you have the new battery installed. Installing the new battery just might save your alternator from going bad on you too!
