Stretched tires and aggressive driving
Can you still drive aggressively with stretched tires? obviously not too crazy of a stretch.
Im running 225/35/19 on a 9.5 and 255/30/19 on a 10.5 tire, and it has a decent amount of stretch. My local car club organise spirited canyon drives and we push the cars quite a bit, and i was wondering if its still possible to partake even though I'm now running stretched tires. I know the quality of tire makes a difference, but id hate to be attacking a corner and have a tire blow mid corner.
Whats the general consensus with stretched tires and aggressive driving? How dangerous/safe is it? Can i push the car as hard as before?
Ive seen pics of drift cars with stretched setups, but those guys are usually sponsored and have tires to spare. Would a tire blow out easier? i know in general the tires wear out faster, but thats more due to being lowered and cambered.

I have almost the same specs as you, a tad less aggressive but still a considerable stretch on my 19"s. I do a a lot of spirited/aggressive driving almost once a week in the summer on some nice twisty roads up here in northern ontario. The only issue I've ever had in doing so was one time when I blew out my right rear sidewall on a pretty gnarly switchback. I was running ventus v12s at the time. The stretch makes the tire a much more rigid structure so it's a lot less forgiving and I think that combined with the road surface (a few rough spots here and there) was the only reason it went on me. I (to some) "downgraded" to nexen n3000s and still run the same roads without an issue.
If the roads you're running are nicely paved I couldn't see what threat it would pose to them.

You can drive agressive to a certain point. I've seen stretched tires unbead it self on SUPER hard turns but I doubt that you would ever achieve those g forces on mountain road spirited driving. Ive had tires stretched beyond that and never had any issues
Just think of it this way...the greater the stretch, the less the usable amount of sidewall. Less sidewall, the less forgiving the tire will be on any sort of potholes/bumps/etc.
But given the wheel & tires specs here, it's really a "minor" stretch.
