What are your opinions regarding this system for our cars? Is it compatible with the 2gen? If so, Is it worth it? I was looking at the viper with the iPhone app and it runs around $850 and then I came across this on the Lexus website and was wondering if anyone had any reviews on it and if anyone knows how much it would cost? I called the local dealer but they were giving me the run-around, might try another dealer later today

As far as I understand you have to buy a device for about 500 bucks and then its $70 a month or so. I might have to get it installed. I like this option much better than the others.

Not a chance IMO. It's not even available for the 4GS or 3IS as of now. I've heard nothing but complaints about it anyways. I recently installed viper smart start and it works like a charm. It cost me $700 in total for the two modules, install, and 3 years of service. That's all cheaper than it would cost for RES+ to be installed. It will be roughly the same for you if the 2IS is RSR compatible.
