Door open warning chime after lock actuator replacement
Could not find this in the forums, sorry if I missed it somewhere.
History:
I am the original owner of an '07 IS350. The driver's door actuator slowly failed with the symptoms described in the threads about replacing the Mabuchi motor internal to the latch actuator. I decided to replace the entire actuator w/OEM from the Lexus dealership instead of just the Mabuchi motor.
Problem:
The computer thinks that the door is open and gives warnings accordingly, when parked or driving.
Problem found, but I can't figure out how to delete my post.
I had not yet reinstalled the cover for the rear face of the door. The cover presses on the door closed switch located in the "B" pillar. This area was too dark to see the switch on my black car, plus I didn't think to look until working through the problem in my head.
