From my understanding, the dealer don't use brand new Philips. I think they are either used from another car or refurbished or bulk packaging of some sort. Because the dealer replaced my stock HID bulbs last year and it went out last month.

Could be a faulty ballast.

Lexus replaced my entire passenger headlight under warranty... had to fight for it though.

Swap the bulbs left to right to prove its the ballast and not the bulb.

Saying there is moisture in the lamp or it could be the ballast so no warranty on the bulb but they are going to test the ballast, wonder what this will cost me..

i had this same issue on the passenger side when i bought my car. bulbs went out, they replaced both when i bought my car, 1 or 2 months later the passenger went out again. but where i bought my car from they used some cheapy 8k bulb.

i would advise get new bulbs first before you try new ballast because OEM ballast are not cheap by far. i bought 5k bulbs from xenon depot and havent had the problem ever again. hope that helps

They switched the bulb and it worked on the other side thus the ballast is shot.I don't want to pay 1600 for a ballast any suggestions?

Why not just mount up an aftermarket ballast?
