Plasti-dip is a much more cheaper alternative and achieve almost the same look if done correctly. Like someone said, dipyourcar on youtube plastidip Lambo, Audi, BMW and they look fantastic.
Key word here is cheap...
Emblems cool. Grill is border line cheap and ghetto. Rims yuck. Hood to achieve that "Carbon fiber look" gross
Your entire car... definitely should a just bought a Honda. I never understood why anyone would want to do that to their car and not be able to wax or polish it. I love the feeling of a smooth body panel vs the grittyness of cheapo plastidip. but whatever to each their own.

We own a Lexus, don't make it ghetto

I have my wheels plastidipped their aluminum color. Do I think it's "yuck" or "ghetto"? Hell no.

Powder coating wheels > plastidipping wheels
Painting or vinyl wrapping > plastidipping your car
It's a cheap mod that makes your car look cheap
But that's just my opinion.

If you think your plastidip and bbs caps look great on your BBS reps then that's all that matters

we are all entitled to opinions here, just funny how you say they look ghetto when I'm almost 100% sure you have never used the product let alone done any research on it...yeah I own a Lexus but guess what you have other fellow Lexus owners that have built amazing vehicles that have painted them with plastidip. If you and other people want to throw a couple thousand dollars away in vinyl wrapping then by all means go right ahead, plstidip if used right can cover a vehicle easier, wont look "ghetto" n isn't permanent. Just think its quite humorous that you make such a statement when you have high end exotic cars i.e. Audi R8, Nissan GTR, Lamborghini owners that dip their cars n its done the right way, in other words not rattle canned but actual paint gun (HVLP type spray guns), like i said earlier do your research first before making a stupid statements such as "its ghetto"

He must have done a horrible job then if he think it looks "ghetto" lol once again I chalk this one up to research again, if u use the rattle can its only best to use it on small parts i.e. window trim, emblems grills shark fin, larger objects like engine covers, front lip, entire car, your going to need a HVLP spray gun and the desired gallon of plastidip that ur wanting to use

It's a matter of opinion. Plastidipping your car is a cheap alternative to changing the color. Vinyl wrapping costs more bc it's a better product. Actually painting your car costs more than plastidip and vinyl wrap combined bc it's better than dipping and vinyl. If money wasn't a issue would everyone dip their cars over vinyl or paint I doubt that.

I've plasidipped my emblems, grill, window trim, engine covers, and my friends roof. I have multiple cans of plastidip in my garage. I do research before posting and making myself look ignorant on this forum. Yeah nice job assuming and sounding like an ***.

And your argument about exotic cars doesn't make sense. I've seen a huge ricer wing on exotic cars before, does that not make it rice/ghetto/etc? No. If an owner of a Bugatti puts flame stickers on his car, does that make it look good?

Wrapping a car in quality vinyl vs spraying a car with a rattle can substance.....which one fits the category of do it once, do it right? When you use a rattle can on your car, it's ghetto. I do know people plastidip their wheels in the winter time for protection, which I can understand. But spraying your entire car because your too cheap to have it wrapped? You obviously have never compared a car that's been wrapped vs dipped. Cheaper isn't always better, a lot of the times it's ghetto.

wow lol talk about assuming, when u just did the exact same thing what a hypocrite lol I've vinyl wrapped entire cars numerous of times, if u look at quality over quantity, vinyl wrap INCLUDING 3M vinyl does fade over time n either forces u to either redo the entire car or try to restore it.Plastidip doesn't fade when u use the right care kit I.e. Dip foam cleaner.Do it once do it right? Lmfao, like I've stated before, I've vinyl wrapped cars before, you can't sit there and tell me that ppl have vinyled their vehicle once n never redid it a different color. With plastidip you can either peel it off and change color or buy just a gallon n spray ontop of the pre-existing dip after cleaning the surface since itll only take 1-2 thin coats depending on color to change the color of the vehicle. You've only used rattle cans right?? Once again like I said when you spray your car with plastidip DO IT THE RIGHT WAY and use a High Velocity Low Pressure paint gun and Gallon dip not rattle cans lol now you my friend can't read if your still talking about using rattle canned dipp, so ur argument is invalid, and just fyi you call ppl cheap and ghetto is pretty funny, ill just end it with how many cars do you have, how many car shows/events have you've gone to and actually won an event? I've entered my Dipped rx7 and won best show car just about everytime I've gone, my Lexus has won 3 out of the year that I've had mine IS. So if plastidip is ghetto then I guess there are pretty ghetto and cheap judges out at SEMA, anual rotary meet in Cali, just to name a couple

Lol nah just pointing out that just BC you didn't use plastidip the right way doesn't mean your statement correct lol. Hmmm what's that saying....never fight wits with an unarmed man lol I'll say yeah vinyl is cool n all but its not easier then plastidip to apply or clean up when u want to pull it off, and is more durable then vinyl. Though when I think about it you do realize plastidip is a VINYL spray right?
