Default switch out nav for basic radio question

hey guys been i while since i posted but i had my dream sc300 and recently lost it to the road gods anyway..thats not the point, the point is now im gearing up to purchase an is250 and ive been doing my mod research but i can't seem to find an answer to this: theoretically, i could take out the factory installed nav and swap it for the basic radio offered, http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-07-08-Lex...-/310774731667 <- that, so that i can do a custom double-din at the bottom, and sell the nav equipped center console for $1000+ right? there's no technicalities that would hinder a swap like this from working perfectly? am i right to assume this or is there something i don't know or am not thinking of? thanks in advance doods

A downgrade should be fine if you ask me, normally its the upgrades that cause issues.

thanks for the reply man, ok so there shouldn't be any weird rewiring or anything extra to buy you don't think? pretty much plug n play? this is seeming a bit too good to be true..pay 200 for the basic radio, sell the nav for 1000+
and no problems? hrmm

this works out good for you because i think most people want that OEM look with their nav.

I don't think it will be plug and played.

You can read this thread here about someone who has OEM nav but switch to an after market nav that needs the non-nav plugs -- he has to modify the wiring. I think it's in the first 10 pages where he talks about it, but points to another thread. I think it can be done, but you need to modify your wiring as well to be like the non-nav plugs/wires.

Yeah but its no more complex than installing an aftermarket DVD nav, I think the most important thing to be aware of is, if its a ML sound system or not.

If you can get a basic schematic then this should be simple. *assuming basic understanding of electronics*
