Default Oil Maintenance Required Caution Light

Hey CL,

I've been driving my car now and my "Oil Maintenance Required" Caution Light just came on when I start my car and it comes on every time I start my car now. I'm just wondering what it could be from. I had my oil changed literally a month ago, so I don't think it could be an oil change. Could it be a leak? Any input would be nice before I have to take it in.

CleanIS is right; the place that changed your oil never reset the maintenance reminder, which is based solely on mileage. The reset instructions are in our FAQ stickied to the top of the forum.

With the car turned off, push AND hold down the reset button. While holding the button down, press the engine start button. Hold it until the digital odometer reads down from 000000 to 0...then let go of the reset button. That will reset the oil change alert.
