1st Lexus - cheap tires ?!
Okay, just sold a car with michelins, bought an 08 IS250 with 52k miles from a dealer. We noticed the new tires but didn't check the brand until AFTER the purchase. They are staggered, of course, but the brand is Delinte Thunder D7 !!!! I said, what the heck, been driving for almost 40 years, bought dozens of different tires and NEVER heard of these. Research shows them to be a cheap brand from China; I have tried them out on some local curves & they hold the corners good. They are also quiet, and some of the posts say the bridgestones are noisy ?! We will see how they perform in the rain, before changing. Anybody have any alternate suggestions - yea, I have already checked on Michelins for this car costing a cool grand. I might just find some wheels with better rubber since these factory 18" rims are discolored due to a clearcoat issue. And, no, the dealer won't do anything for me either !
I've never used Delinte but some people I know use them for stretching, some complain about noise after a while. I personally prefer Nankang New NS20 style...very quiet, cheap and great for stretching
You get what you pay. I've personally only ever used Bridgestone (Potenza RE760), Hankook (V12) and Falken (452). All have been great. RE760 are my favorite, but V12 has the best combination of price/performance. 452 was sticky enough but a little on the noisy side
