Default Nav upgrade from 9.1

I have a 2006 IS350. Current Nav version is 9.1

Thinking of upgrading to 12.1. Last time i went from original (6.1?) to 9.1 it got a bit less 'nannyish', in particular I didn't have to hit the 'I Agree' button.

Are there any further 'un-nannying' since 9.1? Not sure i want to drop $170 for only map updates.

I believe it's all still just maps.

I went from 6 to 12. Mainly just notice the "I agree" and maps.

I was thinking about upgrading from version 6 to 12 as well, but decided against it, believed it would be a waste of money since I hardly use my car Nav and always use the nav on my iphone.

IMHO, I'd spend the $170 or whatever it costs for an upgrade on another modification or just put it in your savings account for a rainy day.

you could just do a search and buy the upgraded nav disk on ebay for like 25. it beats spending money on something that can be bought else where

They will work as long as they burn them correctly.
